How do I organize my learning topics?
Organizing your learning topics effectively is crucial for maximizing your learning experience with Learntime. The primary way to organize your topics is through MemoryStacks.
Creating and Managing MemoryStacks
MemoryStacks are collections of related topics. Here's how to create and manage them:
-
Create a new MemoryStack:
- Select the MemoryStack dropdown in the top left sidebar.
- Choose "+ New MemoryStack".
- Enter a name for your MemoryStack (e.g., "Solar System" or "Introduction to Biology").
- Optionally, upload an image to represent your MemoryStack.
- Provide specific instructions for the AI Mentor regarding this MemoryStack in the "How would you like the AI to respond in this workspace?" field.
- Select "Save" to create your new MemoryStack.
-
Manage existing MemoryStacks:
- Use the dropdown menu in the top left to switch between MemoryStacks.
- Select the gear icon next to the MemoryStack name to access settings and make changes.
-
Organize topics within MemoryStacks:
- Topics are automatically sorted by review urgency in the sidebar under "Today", "Tomorrow", "Next week", etc.
- Use the search function in the sidebar to quickly filter topics by name.
Best Practices for MemoryStack Organization
- Create separate MemoryStacks for distinct modules, subjects, books, or learning goals.
- Use clear, descriptive names for your MemoryStacks.
- Consider using a consistent naming convention for related topics within a MemoryStack.
- Regularly review and update your MemoryStack organization as your learning progresses.
By effectively organizing your learning topics into MemoryStacks, you'll create a structured learning environment that enhances your ability to focus on specific areas of study and track your progress across different subjects.
